New Jersey General Assembly, 18th Legislative District
Robert J. Karabinchak is a Democratic member of the New Jersey General Assembly, representing since May 2016 the 18th Legislative District, centered on East Brunswick, Edison and Metuchen. He was appointed to fill a vacancy caused by Patrick J. Diegnan Jr.'s move to the State Senate. Prior to his legislative service, Karabinchak served on the Edison Township Council from 2007 and again from 2009 to 2016, including two terms as Council President. He also served eight years on the Edison Zoning Board of Adjustment. Professionally, he is President of Tri-Form Construction, a construction management and general contracting firm based in Metuchen. Karabinchak has been a lifelong resident of Edison Township, where he has served in municipal government for 16 years before moving to the state legislature.
